Rousse Muscat – red dessert grape variety.

Selected in Bulgaria by crossing Cardinal and Muscat Hamburg in 1973 by Ivan Todorov I Zankov. It is widespread throughout the country (Bulgaria).

Early ripening variety, grapes ripen in late July and early August. The vines are middle growed, with good resistance to low temperatures and botrytis. The vines show good restore power after severe winter damage. The variety is suitable for cultivation in all wine-growing areas and hilly places an altitude of 700-800 m. The average yield of a vine stem under cultivation is 4-5 kg, per hectare – up to 1500 kg.

The bunch is large (300 g.) loose. Berries are large (4.8 g.), oval, dark purple to black. The texture is crisp with a pleasant taste and pronounced muscat flavor. The juice is colorless.

Used for fresh consumption. Grapes does not crack, does not rot and has good transportability. The sugar content in the grape in technological maturity is 16% and the titratable acidity were 4.24 g. / l.
